About the book

Varyag is dead. A corrupt police general sent the keeper of Russia's common fund to a prison camp from which there was no way back. Rumor has it that Varyag was finished off during a prison riot. The treasurer's seat is now vacant, and the thief-in-law and Petersburg Overseer Shram lays claim to it... Shram's men prepare the robbery of an exchange office that refused “protection”, but the raid turns into a bloodbath: someone shoots Shram's people and stops the robbery. The Petersburg boss believes it is the Moscow “werewolves”. In Moscow they think a third party has entered the game, none other than Varyag, back from the other world...
